After
attending O’Dea High School and Seattle University, Earl received his
legal education at the University of San Francisco and the University of
Washington where he received his law degree in 1965. He is admitted to
practice in all Washington State Courts, as well as the United States
District Court for the Western District of Washington, the 9th
Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
In addition to
over forty years of practice, Earl has recently completed training
in “Mediating the Litigated Case” offered by the Straus Institute
for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law. |

Earl has
been practicing law in Mount Vernon, Washington, for over 40
years. His first position was as an associate with the firm of
Bannister, Bruhn and Luvera. After that experience, he worked as a
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, and was appointed Prosecuting Attorney for
Skagit County in 1969. In 1970, he was elected Skagit County’s first
full-time Prosecuting Attorney. He re-entered private practice in late
1974. |
